Introducing proper reggae artists: The Majestic

Hailing from London, The Majestic have been jolting headline shows and festivals since 2011 with their own style of roots, rock, reggae and the deep bass and rhythmic patterns of Steppas dub.

Initially founded in the 1980s, The Majestic are a dynamic and energetic crew with eclectic influences old and new, fronted by Jamaican powerhouse of thunderous lyrics, Baba Ras and the original bassist Tony Alli. This band is guaranteed to always bring out the sunshine and impossible not to kick up ground to!

Think some of the liveliest parts of reggae melded as an infectious blend of British and Jamaican music. Think rocky guitar leads and saxophone hooks. Oh, and their covers are banging!

Whilst regulars at Boomtown and Falmouth Reggae Festivals, the band are a familiar face on the wider UK festival circuit and are intimate with venues such as Hootananny Brixton, Brixton Jamm, The Fox and Firkin and our very own The Music Baa!

Welcome back, The Majestic! We want more of your unifying love, peace and compassion!

We look forward to welcoming back the boys and their beats to Flocksteady Bleats at The Music Baa!

What the press say…

“A high-energy set filled with infectious rhythms! The Majestic’s performance was pure reggae magic. The crowd couldn't get enough!” GigHeaven.com

Roots rock and reggae delivered in their own whacky very visual sing-a-long style, it’s all about audience participation!” FreakMusic.co.uk
