Introducing full throttle blues: the james oliver band

hese guys never stop. When it comes to being on the road munching musical miles, they make Grateful Dead’s ‘Endless Tour’ look like a short excursion. Rumour has it they’re averaging over 300 gigs a year all over the UK, Europe, and the USA.

Indeed, James Oliver has performed over 3,000 gigs and shared the stage with many acts including Albert Lee, Bill Kirchen, Deke Leonard, Greg Koch, Walter Trout, Steve Gibbons, Billy Bremner, Geraint Watkins and many others.

In 2020, Oliver won UK Blues Awards Emerging Artist of the Year and has since been nominated three additional times.

Oliver has released two studio albums, three live albums. His album Twang topped the Amazon Blues Chart for three weeks. Oliver is currently working on a new record with legendary producer, John Leckie (think XTC, Radiohead, Muse etc).

Great rock and blues. One day those glasses are going to fall off. Oh, and they rap funny between the guitar work.

We’re more than delighted the band can squeeze in The Music Baa. Welcome, boys!
